Job summary

Lambert Engineering Ltd is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative to join our on-site team in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire. This full-time, permanent role involves coordinating materials, components and finished goods to move efficiently through the business and to customers worldwide.

You will work with the Warehouse & Shipping Manager and production teams to maintain stock accuracy and ensure timely despatch of goods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a warehouse, goods-in or despatch environment.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Overhead crane certification.
• Experience shipping goods using carriers such as UPS, DHL or FedEx.
• Experience using Visual 11 or similar ERP systems.
• Inventory management and stock control experience.

Responsibilities

• Picking and preparing components and materials for production builds.
• Loading and unloading deliveries and collections.
• Packing and preparing goods for domestic and international shipment.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and carrying out cycle counts.
• Moving materials safely around the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
• Supporting goods-in, warehouse and despatch activities.
• Ensuring products are stored correctly and protected from damage.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, safety and organisation.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.

We're looking for a reliable and organised Warehouse Operative to join our team. Working closely with our Warehouse & Shipping Manager and wider warehouse/production teams, you'll help maintain accurate stock control, support production requirements and ensure customer deliveries are despatched safely and on time.
