Universal Business Team is recruiting a reliable Warehouse Operative for a growing manufacturing operation in Fareham. This hands-on role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy, and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.

You will receive, store, assemble and dispatch goods safely, with forklift use where required. The role also supports pre-assembly of products and stock control to help meet customer deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or logistics roles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check deliveries accurately.
• Store goods safely using correct handling methods.
• Pick, prepare and dispatch orders efficiently.
• Assist with pre-assembly of electrical and non-electrical products.
• Load and unload stock; operate forklift where required.
• Support stock control and stock-taking activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.
• Report stock discrepancies and issues promptly.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet customer deadlines.
• Follow company procedures and safety requirements.

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:30pm

We're recruiting on behalf of a successful and expanding manufacturer seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join their operations team.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and thrives as part of a close-knit team. You'll play an important role in ensuring products are received, stored, assembled and dispatched safely, accurately and on time.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring stock is handled safely and efficiently while helping the business consistently meet customer expectations. You'll also have the opportunity to assist with product assembly and contribute towards continuous improvement within the warehouse function.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately receive and check deliveries
• Store goods safely using correct handling methods and equipment
• Pick, prepare and dispatch orders efficiently
• Support the pre-assembly of electrical and non-electrical products
• Load and unload stock safely, including the use of forklift equipment where required
• Assist with stock control and stock-taking activities
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment
• Report stock discrepancies and operational issues promptly
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure customer deadlines are achieved
• Follow company procedures, quality standards and health & safety requirements at all times

About You

You will ideally have:

• Previous warehouse or logistics experience
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• The ability to work at pace whilst maintaining quality standards
• A proactive and positive approach to teamwork
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
• A commitment to health and safety best practice
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Forklift Truck certification (desirable, not essential)
• A strong work ethic with the drive to continuously improve and contribute to team success
