JOB SPECIFICATION FOR WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE - WOKINGHAM
Join our friendly team at our busy Wokingham Warehouse
To support the logistics department operationally as required. This includes unloading and checking in bound stock deliveries and reporting discrepancies to the account manager and client, locating stock and recording locations within the correct client area.
To be responsible for the accurate daily processing of client orders. This requires a good level of IT skills and familiarity with word and excel as the successful candidate will be using our Warehouse Management Software to process orders electronically.
To be responsible for the accurate picking, packing and dispatch of processed orders This includes following specific account requirements / instructions regarding labelling, packaging and barcode scanning.
To follow correct operational and Health and Safety procedures, to maintain a tidy and safe workspace and to follow our packing and packaging recycling procedures as part of our environmental policy.
Good keyboard skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft office - Outlook and word / excel.
Counterbalance forklift licence.
Numerate and literate.
Teamworking skills as well as the ability to work independently.
Candidate must be able to physically lift boxes / items up to 25kgs in weight and use our "at height" order picking equipment. Candidates need to be outgoing, friendly and have a strong team ethic.
Additionally, an extended- reach forklift licence is preferred although not essential as training can be arranged at a later date.
Position is subject to 3 month probationary period and receipt of satisfactory references.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 08.00 - 17.00 with one hour for lunch.
20 days holiday per year plus Bank Holidays.
£25,396.80 per year
