Job summary

Hillarys Blinds Limited is seeking a Warehouse Operative for our Colwick site. You will be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations, from receiving deliveries to preparing orders for dispatch, with a focus on accuracy, safety, and service.

You will support stock control, data entry, and general warehouse duties, while applying Health & Safety best practices. Training and forklift opportunities are available within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to tasks.
• Basic IT skills, including MS Word and Excel.
• Experience or working knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
• Understanding of Health & Safety best practices in a warehouse environment.
• Proactive and flexible attitude, with willingness to support across tasks.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good problem-solving ability and a positive approach to challenges.
• Good level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or production environment (desirable).
• Forklift truck experience or licence (desirable – training can be provided).

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, and documenting incoming deliveries
• Safely unloading goods and storing them in correct locations
• Processing contract manufactured goods in line with company procedures
• Accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
• Carrying out stock control tasks, including counting and rotating stock
• Updating systems and completing administrative tasks, including data entry
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
• Following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required
• Operating warehouse equipment (including forklifts, where trained)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Colwick site. This is a varied and hands on role, offering the chance to be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations.

You will play a key part in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and dispatch of goods. From receiving and processing deliveries to preparing orders for customers, your contribution will help maintain high standards of accuracy, safety, and service.

Key Responsibilities
