Job summary

Alliance Automotive Logistics in Rotherham is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join the National Distribution Centre team. You will receive, store and dispatch goods with accuracy and safety at the forefront. The role demands manual handling and working as part of a team to meet daily targets.

It involves up to 20kg lifts, operation of pallet trucks, and a fast-paced environment with potential shifts including evenings, nights and weekends. Training is provided to all new staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred but not essential.
• Able to lift up to 20kg and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Good communication and ability to work as part of a team.
• Attention to detail in order processing.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, nights and weekends if required.
• Basic IT skills for data entry and scanning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and check incoming goods for quality and quantity.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in line with procedures.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely including pallet trucks and forklifts (training provided).
• Carry out stock checks, cycle counts, and maintain inventory records.
• Ensure warehouse is clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets.
• Report discrepancies, damages, or safety issues promptly.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations.

As a Warehouse Operative at our National Distribution Centre in Rotherham, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment while delivering high standards of accuracy and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
