Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Warehouse MHE Operative for our Northampton DC7 site (NN4 9EX).

This full-time, permanent role supports safe, accurate and fast operations, with shift choices 14:00-22:00 or 22:00-06:00 on a 5 out of 7 pattern. You will operate a forklift (Reach Truck/VNA), load and move pallets, ensure precise stock placement, perform daily checks, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while using IT systems to track activity.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a Reach Truck or VNA.
• Ability to use IT systems and basic computer literacy.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently within drive-in racking systems.
• Load, unload, and move pallets to storage or dispatch areas.
• Ensure accurate stock placement and retrieval following procedures.
• Carry out daily forklift checks and report faults or safety issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.

Here at GXO, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse MHE Operative to join our team at our Northampton DC7 site (NN4 9EX).

This is a full-time, permanent role, based on any ‘5 out of 7’ working patterns. Shift patterns available 14:00 - 22:00 or 22:00 - 06:00.

Pay, benefits and more:

• An hourly rate of £12.71
• An hourly rate of £15.61 working afternoon shift (including Reach Truck allowance and shift premium for hours 18:00 - 22:00)
• An hourly rate of £16.61 working night shift (including Reach Truck allowance and shift premium for hours 22:00 - 06:00)

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently within drive-in racking systems
• Load, unload, and move pallets to designated storage or dispatch areas
• Ensure accurate stock placement and retrieval following warehouse procedures
• Carry out daily forklift checks and report any faults or safety issues
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience operating a Reach Truck or VNA.
• A reasonable level of physical fitness to meet daily handling duties
• Confidence using IT systems and basic computer literacy
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in your work
• Willingness to work in a warehouse environment
