Job summary

GXO Northampton is hiring a Warehouse Operative to join our team at a busy recycling centre, handling cardboard, plastic and food waste, and supporting the tray wash process.

This full-time, permanent role operates on a 4 on 4 off shift, 06:00 to 18:00, with an hourly rate of £13.30, 22 days holiday, a 24/7 online GP service, life assurance and GXO University training.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and perform repetitive tasks.
• MHE licence beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Load empty trays onto the wash machine.
• Unload and wrap cleaned trays for collection.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area.
• Perform other warehouse duties as required.

Here at GXO Northampton we are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our team. Working at our equipment management site, where it's all about recycling & reuse, for one of the largest supermarket retailers in the UK. You'll play a key role in a busy recycling centre, handling cardboard, plastic, and food waste, as well as supporting the efficient operation of the tray wash process.

You'll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, covering the hours of 06:00 to 18:00.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Load empty trays and buckets onto the wash machine ready for cleaning
• Unload clean trays from the wash machine, stack away and wrap ready for collection
• Ensure a hazard-free zone by guaranteeing that all work areas are kept clean and tidy
• Other warehouse duties depending on operations needs

What you need to succeed at GXO

• MHE licence beneficial but not essential
