Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Warehouse MHE Operative for our Northampton DC7 site (NN4 9EX). This full-time, permanent role offers shifts from 14:00-22:00 or 22:00-06:00, with a base hourly rate of £12.71, and enhanced rates for afternoon and night shifts including allowances.

You will operate a forklift in drive-in racking, load/unload pallets, ensure stock accuracy, perform daily checks, and uphold a safe, clean work environment. Competence with Reach Truck or VNA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have experience operating a forklift, Reach Truck or VNA.
• Able to handle daily warehouse duties safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely within drive-in racking systems.
• Load, unload, and move pallets to storage or dispatch areas.
• Ensure accurate stock placement and retrieval following procedures.
• Carry out daily forklift checks and report faults or safety issues.

This is full-time, permanent role, basedon any ‘5 out of 7’working patterns. Shift patterns available14:00 - 22:00or22:00 - 06:00.

• An hourly rate of £12.71
• An hourly rate of £15.61 working afternoon shift (including Reach Truck allowance and shift premiumfor hours 18:00 - 22:00)

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently within drive-in racking systems
• Load, unload, and move pallets to designated storage or dispatch areas
• Ensure accurate stock placement and retrieval following warehouse procedures
• Carry out daily forklift checks and report any faults or safety issues
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience operating a Reach Truck or VNA.
• A reasonable level of physical fitness to meet daily handling duties
• Confidence using IT systems and basic computer literacy
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in your work
• Willingness to work in a warehouse environment
