Job summary

Gill Cooke Personnel Ltd T/A The Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced IT Technician for a hands-on role in a busy warehouse and office environment.

You will provide first and second-line support, maintain PCs and warehouse technology, and work with external IT providers to keep systems secure and up to date.

This role offers variety across IT in logistics operations and requires practical troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as IT Technician or IT Support, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor the warehouse management system, ensuring data accuracy.
• Provide first and second-line IT support to warehouse and office-based users.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
• Set up, configure and maintain PCs, laptops, monitors, printers and other IT equipment.
• Support warehouse technology including handheld scanners, barcode equipment, label printers and tablets.
• Troubleshoot Wi‑Fi and network connectivity across the warehouse.
• Manage user accounts, passwords, permissions and access.
• Install and maintain software, applications and system updates.
• Assist with onboarding and IT setup of new employees.
• Maintain accurate IT asset and equipment records.
• Liaise with external IT providers and suppliers where required.
• Carry out routine maintenance and proactively identify potential issues.
• Provide technical assistance during system outages and operational issues.
• Ensure all IT support is delivered in line with company security and data protection procedures.
