Job summary

Reed is seeking a Warehouse & Assembly Operative in Widnes for an ongoing temporary assignment. The role involves handling long-length aluminium and steel profiles and fabricated components in a small warehouse team. Counterbalance licence is desirable.

Hours are Monday–Friday 08:00–17:00. Salary ranges £28,080 (£13.50/h) or £31,200 (£15/h) with a licence, depending on qualifications. Responsibilities include stock movement, goods in/out, picking/packing, loading, and assisting with light

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, logistics or manufacturing experience.
• Excellent level of spoken and written English.
• Comfortable using electronic tablets.
• Able to work safely with long, bulky, and high-value products.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Move stock, components and finished products within the warehouse.
• Offload inbound deliveries and check goods in.
• Pick and pack customer orders for dispatch.
• Load/unload shipping containers.
• Load containers and products onto flatbed vehicles and trucks.
• Assist with long-length profiles, framework systems and fabricated components.
• Support light assembly, preparation and packaging.
• Use tablet-based goods in/out system (training provided).
• Maintain accurate stock movements and warehouse records.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized and safe.

My industry leading client, located of Gorsey Lane in Widnes, are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse & Assembly Operative on an ongoing temporary basis. It would be desirable, not essential if the successful candidate has an in-date Counterbalance FLT Licence.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful business the role involves working with long-length aluminium and steel profiles, fabricated metal components, framework systems, and finished products. Candidates must be comfortable handling large, awkward items safely and carefully to maintain product quality. As part of a small warehouse team currently consisting of three, reliability, attendance and a positive attitude are essential.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (40 hours per week)

Salary: £28,080 / £13.50 per hour - (If you have an in-date Counterbalance licence the Salary will be £31,200 / £15 per hour)
