Job summary

Hayley Group is offering a Warehouse Apprentice role at our headquarters in Halesowen to support a busy warehouse team. You will assist with picking, packing and dispatching goods, plus stock handling and housekeeping, learning on the Hayley Academy program.

No prior experience is required; we value the right attitude, willingness to learn, and a commitment to grow a career in warehousing.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with picking, packing and dispatching goods in the warehouse.
• Process stock receipts and shelving in correct locations; conduct stock checks.
• Support with general warehouse housekeeping and liaise with colleagues across branches.
• Be a proactive team member, helping with varied tasks as needed.

Location: Halesowen, West Midlands

Hours: 9am – 6pm Monday – Friday, 1 in 8 Saturdays, 8.30-12.30 – 41 hours

About the Warehouse Assistant role:

As our Warehouse Apprentice, you will mainly be assisting with operations in our warehouse, picking, packing and dispatching goods. You will also be required to assist with processing of stock, including receipting goods, shelving items in the correct locations, stock checks and general warehouse housekeeping. A key member of the team, you will be required to liaise with other colleagues and departments across the branch network.

The environment and culture are one where everyone mucks in and works across a variety of tasks. That could mean one moment you’d be picking goods and the next hopping in the van to assist with a delivery. There’s no task this team doesn’t do and so if you are someone that is looking for a role that is varied and you like getting stuck in then this could be the perfect fit!

• Able to travel to and work locally
