Cygnet Health Care in Bury, Greater Manchester, is seeking a professional Ward Manager to lead, inspire and oversee delivery of excellent care across the ward. You'll work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.

Based at Cygnet Bury Hudson, the role involves implementing improvement strategies, managing change, ensuring patient safety and rights, and supporting a multidisciplinary team in a secure mental health setting.

Qualificações

• In-patient mental health ward experience and ward management preferred.
• Proven leadership and ability to motivate and develop others.
• Committed to continuous improvement and patient recovery.
• Understanding of Mental Health Act and clinical governance.

Responsabilidades

• Provide suggestions and recommendations to the Hospital Manager for ward development.
• Monitor and maintain nursing practice standards and staff registrations.
• Ensure service delivery is evaluated from patient and carer perspectives.
• Advise non-clinical staff on management of patients with mental illness.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and adherence to policies.

We are looking for a professional, confident Ward Managerwho can lead, inspire & oversee the delivery of the very best care.

You'll be working40 hours a week(Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm)atCygnet Bury Hudson.

Cygnet Bury Hudson providesa wide range of securemental health services for men including individuals with a diagnosis of personality disorder.

Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways down to the Elton Reservoir.

Your day-to-day:

• Provide suggestions, proposals & recommendations to the Hospital Manager aimed at the continued development of the ward.
• Contribute & participate in planned visits to the ward by professional visitors Initiate & maintain a monitoring system in relation to professional nursing practice at unit level, including pin numbers & the current registration of all qualified staff
• Ensure that the evaluation of service delivery is user (i.e. patient, carer & family) based
• Advise non-clinical staff within the hospital on management of patients with mental illness.
• Ensure patients' rights to confidentiality are respected & that Cygnet Health Care & professional policies are adhered to.

You are

• Familiar with an in-patient setting
• Experienced in managing change, leadership initiatives, motivating & developing others
• Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
• Capable of undertaking audits, developing, following-up & ensuring completion of action plans
• Well-informed of the Mental Health Act & the latest nursing practices
• Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk
