Cygnet is hiring a Ward Manager (RMN/RNLD) for its Bury site. You will lead a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, ensuring delivery of expert care within a secure mental health environment for men. Responsibilities include clinical governance, staff development, and safeguarding patient rights.

The role requires in-patient mental health nursing experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement. DBS and compliance with hospital policies are essential.

We are looking for a professional, confident Ward Managerwho can lead, inspire & oversee the delivery of the very best care.

You’ll be working40 hours a week(Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm)atCygnet Bury Hudson.

Cygnet Bury Hudson providesa wide range of securemental health services for men including individuals with a diagnosis of personality disorder.

Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways down to the Elton Reservoir.

Your day-to-day:

• Provide suggestions, proposals & recommendations to the Hospital Manager aimed at the continued development of the ward.
• Contribute & participate in planned visits to the ward by professional visitors Initiate & maintain a monitoring system in relation to professional nursing practice at unit level, including pin numbers & the current registration of all qualified staff
• Ensure that the evaluation of service delivery is user (i.e. patient, carer & family) based
• Advise non-clinical staff within the hospital on management of patients with mental illness.
• Ensure patients’ rights to confidentiality are respected & that Cygnet Health Care & professional policies are adhered to.
