Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Ward Clerk for the King George V ward at North Devon District Hospital. The role is full-time on a fixed-term basis until 08/10/2027, with some weekend work and part-time options for the right candidate. NHS experience is desirable but not essential.

The Ward Clerk will perform general ward reception duties, manage Medical Records, support the multidisciplinary team and ensure timely communication of information across services.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a busy, challenging environment.
• Good keyboard skills and accuracy in data entry.
• Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Answering telephone enquiries.
• Ordering stock and maintaining supplies.
• Managing Medical Records and updating systems.
• Escalating IT issues as required.
• Communicating information in a timely manner with the multidisciplinary team.
