A leading healthcare provider in London is seeking a motivated Ward Administrator to support the Intensive Care Unit. You will provide excellent communication and customer service, ensuring a friendly welcome to visitors and relatives. The role requires previous patient-facing experience, as well as strong organisational skills. This full-time position offers a salary ranging from £30,546 to £32,207 per year, providing essential administrative support within a busy medical environment.
We are looking for a motivated and positive individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.As a Ward Administrator for our Intensive Care Unit, you will be the first point of contact for queries and play an essential role in supporting members of the multidisciplinary team.
You will be responsible for providing a warm, dedicated, helpful and friendly welcome to all relatives and visitors to our department. You will have excellent organisation skills and the ability to work at pace, will ideally have previous experience in working in a patient facing role, along with the capacity to provide a great service in a sensitive setting. People skills are an absolute must, along with the ability to work in a highly demanding yet rewarding environment.
The role is key in day-to-day coordination of administrative tasks as part of a 7-day service and is a full time Substantive post. The hours for this post are 22.5 hours per week. This will be split over Monday (11-16:30), Tuesday (11-17:30), Thursday (11-16:30) and Friday (11-18:00).
This role will be based at Hammersmith Hospital although cross-site cover may be required as per the service needs.
