Job summary

Spark of Genius is hiring a Support Worker in Children’s Residential Care in the United Kingdom. You will help young people with daily routines, meals, school preparation, and activities in a safe, nurturing environment.

No prior care experience is required; transferable skills from retail, hospitality, customer service, or education are welcome. DBS checks will be carried out, and training provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• As a Support Worker, you will support young people with their daily routines; getting them ready for school, preparing meals and planning activities
• Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping
• Build positive relationships and provide emotional support
• Plan and take part in activities such as outdoor trips and creative sessions
• Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care
• Use electronic care recording systems on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
