Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Waking Night Children & Young People’s Worker to join a new Emotional Wellbeing Assessment Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire. The role involves overnight care for ages 8–18, promoting safety, wellbeing and stable routines.

You will build trusting relationships, supervise night-time activities, follow safeguarding protocols, and keep accurate records while supporting a calm home environment.

Qualifications

• Safeguarding and protecting vulnerable children/young people.
• Willingness to achieve Level 3 Diploma within timeframe.
• Flexibility for night shifts, including weekends/bank holidays.
• Experience with children/young people is desirable, but attitude and values matter.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships to promote safety, wellbeing and independence.
• Support children and young people through the night and respond to needs/incidents.
• Maintain a safe, calm overnight environment, following safeguarding procedures.
• Complete accurate records and documentation.
• Contribute to light domestic tasks to help maintain the home.
