Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker for our new Emotional Wellbeing Assessment Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire. The role supports children and young people aged 8-18, promoting confidence, independence and social skills in a nurturing setting.

You will work as part of a team to build trust, document progress, and ensure safeguarding at all times. Hybrid working arrangements and competitive pay are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to build trust and resilience in children and young people.
• Understand safeguarding and protection of vulnerable children.
• Flexible to work shifts including weekends and sleep-ins.
• Relevant experience with children and young people is desirable but not essential.

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our new Emotional Wellbeing Assessment Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people aged 8-18 within a supportive and nurturing environment. The service provides short-term placements to help young people develop confidence, independence, and social skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Building trust and developing nurturing relationships to promote the wellbeing and independence of young people.


• Working in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to support each child's needs.


• Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve this within the required timeframe.

• A good understanding of safeguarding and protection of vulnerable children and young people.


• Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays.


• Relevant experience working with children and young people is desirable but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.
