Job summary

CareTech is recruiting a Wake Night Support Worker for our service in Deal, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. The role offers a rewarding, long-term career with training and progression.

You will deliver personalised support, promote independence and work as part of a team. No prior experience needed; full training and induction are provided. DBS check is required, and some duties may require unsociable hours.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 Diploma
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
• Drivers desirable but not essential

About the Service – Goodwins

Goodwins is situated in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of the historical coastal town of Deal. Staff are committed to providing high quality, person centred care and support for the 8 residents. The service has shown continuous improvement over a number of years, which culminated in receiving an outstanding rating from CQC in November 2018.

Service User Interests

The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Wake Night Support Workers play a vital role in enabling experiences.

The Role

You will:

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support activities, appointments, and community access
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
