Job summary

CareTech is recruiting for a Waking Night Support Worker in Ashford to provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. You will work a 37.5 hour week, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins, delivering support in Cedar Bungalows at Hotfield, Ashford.

No previous experience? Full training and induction are provided, with enhanced DBS funded by CareTech.

Qualifications

  • Will ingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
  • Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
  • Drivers desirable but not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).

Waking Night Support Worker

Location: Ashford
Rate: £13.54 per hour + £66.80 per sleep-in
Permanent | Part Time | 37.5 hours per week

About the Service – Cedar Bungalows

Cedar Bungalows in Hothfield specialises in adults with learning difficulties, autism and mental health. Currently Cedars Bungalow supports 4 service users, who enjoy its beautiful location and surroundings. Cedars boasts a large garden and each bungalow offers spacious rooms with lots of light. The service users enjoy days out such as horse carriage riding, the local community and they benefit from a fabulous team.

You will be working alone and as part of a team supporting people with various needs, such as Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

You will have a person-centred approach to supporting people with their day-to-day living in order to provide a caring, safe and effective service that is responsive to the needs of the people we support. This will include providing support with household tasks, meal planning and preparation, maintaining relationships with their family and friends and with accessing the community.

The Role

You will:

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
