Job summary

We are recruiting a Wake Night Support Worker for Ashwood Place in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. You will support adults with learning disabilities, autism and other needs, helping with daily living tasks and promoting wellbeing.

Full training and structured induction are provided. Candidates should be able to work unsocial hours, have a driving licence, and pass an Enhanced DBS check. CareTech offers benefits and ongoing training.

We are recruiting for a Wake Night Support Worker to join our service in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, preverbal and wheelchair users. About the Service – Ashwood Place

Ashwood Place is an 8 bedded residential service for adults with Learning Disability, Physical disability, Epilepsy and Adults on the Spectrum. Person centred care is very important to us at Ashwood Place. As a team, we focus on the abilities of the people we support and promote learning of new skills, thereby promoting independence and an improved quality of life. We have an open culture where staff feel safe to challenge bad practise, learn from mistakes, share knowledge and lessons learnt. The people we support are involved in the day-to-day running of their home.

The Role

You will:

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support activities, appointments, and community access
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.

Requirements
