Job summary

Priory is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide personal care and support for our residents in Hastings. The role involves working 2 waking nights per week, assisting residents with daily living tasks and encouraging participation in activities. Applicants should be reliable and friendly, with the ability to inspire and manage challenging behaviors effectively.

Department: Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers

Location: Bishops Gate

Compensation: £13.45 / hour

Overview

Bishops Lodge is located in the historic town of Hastings, in East Sussex. It offers residential support for six male and female residents with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). We are located off a main road, close to Alexandra Park.

Our team is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive environment where the people we care for can live their lives to the full. We are looking for a Support Worker to work 2 waking nights per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks.
  • Encourage and assist participation in activities and community life.
  • Support service users in achieving their personal outcomes in the way they choose.
  • Maintain accurate records, care plans, charts, and daily notes.
  • Build positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Uphold safety, security, and confidentiality in line with policies and regulations.
  • Act as a key worker for individuals, helping them to set goals and track progress.
  • Promote choice, independence, and involvement at all times.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and suggestions.
