Job summary

Priory is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide personal care and support for our residents in Hastings. The role involves working 2 waking nights per week, assisting residents with daily living tasks and encouraging participation in activities. Department: Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers

Location: Bishops Gate

Compensation: £13.45 / hour

Overview

Bishops Lodge is located in the historic town of Hastings, in East Sussex. It offers residential support for six male and female residents with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). We are located off a main road, close to Alexandra Park.

Our team is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive environment where the people we care for can live their lives to the full. We are looking for a Support Worker to work 2 waking nights per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks.
• Encourage and assist participation in activities and community life.
• Support service users in achieving their personal outcomes in the way they choose.
• Maintain accurate records, care plans, charts, and daily notes.
• Build positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Uphold safety, security, and confidentiality in line with policies and regulations.
• Act as a key worker for individuals, helping them to set goals and track progress.
• Promote choice, independence, and involvement at all times.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and suggestions.
