Job summary

Young Foundations Limited is seeking a dedicated Night Residential Practitioner to provide overnight supervision and care for young people aged 16 to 25 in a registered children's home. You will safeguard welfare, perform health and safety checks, and maintain accurate records while supporting care plans and risk assessments.

You will work as part of a supportive team, complete night-time duties, and participate in training and meetings as required.

Qualifications

• Understanding of developmental needs of young people.
• Awareness of child protection issues and procedures.
• Ability to motivate self and others to meet goals.
• Ability to work in a team and handle emotional stress.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight supervision and care to young people aged 16–25.
• Safeguard welfare and conduct routine welfare checks at night.
• Maintain records, reports and handovers per policy.
• Support care plans, risk assessments and behaviour strategies.
• Collaborate with families and external professionals for positive outcomes.
• Complete cleaning and household tasks to keep home safe and welcoming.
• Develop independence and life skills in residents.
• Attend mandatory training, meetings and appraisals.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and DBS requirements.
