Job summary

Hilton London Gatwick, part of the Arora Group, is seeking a waiter/waitress to join our team. You will welcome guests, take orders, and deliver food and beverages with a warm, professional touch.

You will aim to provide smooth service, handle payments, and maintain restaurant cleanliness. Experience in a similar 4-star hotel role is a plus, with opportunities for growth within the group.

Connected to Gatwick South terminal, Hilton London Gatwick has 821 bedrooms and an exciting selection of restaurants and bars, including a Japanese Steakhouse. The hotel has a fitness centre and 23 meeting rooms that can host large conferences.

What you will do

Waiter/Waitresses in our team showcase a passion and understanding of food and beverages creating a warm welcome and setting the tone for our guest’s experience. Welcome guests and promptly attend to tables. Take guests’ food and beverage orders, making recommendations on menu items and taking opportunities to upsell where appropriate. Ensure that all customers enjoy quick and efficient service, and check with them that the meal is meeting their expectations. Raising bills and taking payment. Ensure that the restaurant is set up and ready for each service period. Take responsibility for ensuring the overall cleanliness of the restaurant and bar area.

About you

Providing high quality service and attention to detail comes naturally to you. A smart and professional appearance. Strong communication skills. The ability to remain calm whilst under pressure. You value being part of a team and supporting your colleagues. Most of all, you have an approachable, positive, and proactive manner. Experience in a similar role within a 4-star hotel is a significant advantage.
