Job summary

Aethos London Shoreditch is seeking a friendly and attentive Waiter to wow guests with exceptional service in our Cafe & Members and Restaurant. You will be at home in a stylish, boutique hotel environment and contribute to memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities include taking orders, serving with a smile, reading tables, and ensuring quick, high-quality service in line with brand standards; prior restaurant experience is preferred to connect with guests from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Ideally previous restaurant experience with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds, ideally in a lifestyle boutique hotel or fine dining setting.
• Excellent communication and welcoming demeanor.
• Able to multi-task and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional quality service to guests in line with hotel and brand standards.
• Greet guests, take orders, serve and process payments with a friendly, efficient approach.
• Read tables and anticipate guest needs to tailor service.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and beverages; support training when applicable.

THE ROLE

As a Waiter, you will be responsible for wowing our guests with exceptional service and making them feel at home in our Cafe & Members and Restaurant

Your tasks will include but will not be limited to:

• Provide exceptional quality service to guests in a quick and efficient manner in line with hotel and brand standards


• Be comfortable in your ability to multi-task, prioritise and remain calm under pressure


• A good working knowledge of all food products – particularly the style and concept, as well as a good working knowledge of all beverage products. (Excellent training will be given!)


• Greet guests, take orders, serve and take payment in line with Aethos philosophy and standards


• Read tables and understand guest needs and dislikes

ABOUT YOU

• Ideally you would have previous restaurant experience with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle’ boutique hotel, destination fine dining restaurant or cocktail lounge/bar


• Have an open and approachable manner and thrive on interacting with people


• Have great communication skills, a sense of humour and a welcoming smile


• An understanding of what it takes to provide outstanding levels of guest service


• An eye for detail and be immaculately presented
