Xe.com is seeking a VP of Engineering to lead the consumer and corporate engineering organisation. You will oversee four Engineering Directors and a team of around 100 engineers, driving platform modernisation, AI integration, and high operational reliability across distributed teams.

In this senior role below the CTO, you will shape the technology strategy, governance, and execution, balancing innovation with strict compliance in a regulated payments environment.

Qualifications

• Senior engineering leader with experience managing multiple teams or segments.
• Proven track record of transforming large-scale engineering organisations.
• Strong judgment on architecture, platform direction, and production trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering transformation agenda across consumer and corporate platforms.
• Lead four Engineering Directors and ~100 engineers; build leadership capability and succession.
• Create an AI-enabled engineering organisation and integrate AI into the delivery pipeline.
• Improve delivery speed, reliability, and developer experience across distributed teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, Risk, Compliance, Operations to align priorities and outcomes.
• Define guardrails for AI in a regulated financial services environment.
