Job summary

Xe is looking for a Team Lead passionate about advancing a cross-border payments platform. Your role will encompass leading an engineering squad, focusing on architecture and delivery while supporting the growth of engineers.

You'll influence how AI tools are adopted within the team. To succeed, you'll need a blend of strong technical skills in backend development and system design along with proven leadership experience in software engineering, ensuring that Xe continues to grow in providing

Qualifications

• 6 to 10+ years building production software systems, end-to-end.
• Track record of technical leadership in a software team.
• Experience supporting engineers, including regular feedback and mentorship.
• Strong backend proficiency in C# / .NET or equivalent.
• Working frontend fluency with Vue.js, React, or equivalent.
• Strong system design experience including microservices architecture.
• Payments, FX, or regulated-industry experience.
• Production experience with AWS and CI/CD pipelines.
• Daily use of agentic coding tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team responsible for the platform.
• Set technical direction and lead hands-on engineering work.
• Own engineering delivery and collaborate with the PM.
• Mentor and support engineers with regular 1:1s.
• Shape how the team adopts AI tools across the SDLC.
