Job summary

Xe is hiring a Team Lead to own how a squad builds and ships, from architecture through delivery, reliability, and growth of engineers. You will innovate with AI as part of the SDLC and align with adjacent squads as work crosses boundaries.

You will lead the squad responsible for a slice of the platform that moves money for Xe's customers, working with the Product Manager to drive architecture, strategy, and delivery with a strong emphasis on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 6 to 10+ years building production software systems.
• Track record of technical leadership in a software team.
• Coaching engineers and enabling growth beyond technical work.
• Strong backend proficiency in C# / .NET.
• Frontend fluency with Vue.js or React.
• Strong system design, distributed/microservices architecture.
• Payments, FX, or regulated‑industry experience.
• SQL and relational databases fundamentals.
• AWS production experience and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team building and running your squad's slice of the platform, across the services, APIs, and partner integrations that move money for Xe's customers.
• Set technical direction and lead architecture, API design, code for the hard parts, design reviews, code review standards, and incident response.
• Own engineering delivery for the squad, iterate with the PM on roadmap, sprint plans, timelines, and releases.
• Mentor engineers, run regular 1:1s, provide feedback, and help them grow and perform, including interview loops.
• Shape how the team adopts AI tools and raise the bar for how the squad ships with them.
