Overview

Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live.

Last year over 1400 volunteers donated over a quarter of million hours of their time to our organisation.

Responsibilities

At Change Grow Live, we believe that structured group work is a powerful tool in the recovery process. As an Alcohol Group Worker, you will play a key role in facilitating and supporting a range of group interventions designed to assist individuals in their recovery journey. This will include relapse prevention groups, pre-detox groups, and post-detox groups.

You will work closely with service users to help them engage with treatment, build recovery-focused skills, and develop long-term coping strategies. You will also provide one-to-one support where needed and contribute to the development and review of group content to ensure it meets the needs of those accessing our services.

Volunteers contribute to Change Grow Live in a variety of ways. From Admin Volunteers to Service User Reps, from Peer Mentors to Healthcare Support Volunteers, from Independent Visitors to Community Mentors each volunteer brings a unique set of skills and talents. We are incredibly grateful for all that volunteers do to support our service users.

If there isn't a specific volunteering role listed for the service in your area, or have a skill you would like to donate to us you can use this listing to express your interest. Most of our volunteer opportunities don't need any special qualifications. We'll make sure you get all the training and support you need. All we ask is that you're kind, open-minded and passionate about supporting people.

Everyone is welcome at Change Grow Live. As a volunteer you will be treated with respect and accepted for who you are. You don't need to have personal experience of drug and alcohol recovery to get involved.
