FirstPort Limited invites applications for a Visiting Development Manager in Wantage, Oxfordshire. This part-time role (25 hours per week) offers a responsive frontline position supporting residents and managing development activities.

You will ensure safety checks, coordinate contractors, and help foster a sense of community while building relationships with residents and local authorities.

Qualifications

• Customer service-focused mindset with face-to-face experience.
• Excellent communication and issue-resolution skills.
• Understanding of health and safety; able to handle emergencies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems.
• Organised, methodical and able to keep accurate records.
• Outgoing, professional, self-motivated and team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development and office.
• Perform daily safety checks and keep records per procedures.
• Manage works, raise orders, monitor progress and sign off tasks.
• Support Residents Association and organise social events.
• Build links with residents’ families, local authorities and health professionals.
• Respond to emergencies by contacting the appropriate responders.
• Assist with Housing-Homesearch introductions and welcome new residents.
• Collaborate with peer Development Managers and attend monthly/annual meetings.
