Job summary

FirstPort Limited in Kidlington, Oxfordshire is seeking a Visiting Development Manager working 30 hours a week to ensure safe, well-maintained developments and supportive resident relations.

You will manage contractors, foster resident communities, and liaise with families and authorities while supporting sales onboarding with Retirement Homesearch. A customer-service mindset and proactive team spirit are essential.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a face-to-face environment.
• Clear communication and issue resolution abilities.
• Understanding of health and safety and emergency situations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems.
• Organised, methodical and capable of keeping accurate records.
• Outgoing and able to build professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development/office and ensure residents are checked within requirements.
• Carry out daily checks to keep the building safe and secure, maintain records, protect data and keep areas clean.
• Be responsible for works: raise orders, manage contractors, monitor progress, sign off completion.
• Encourage and support Residents Association; help plan social events for all residents.
• Build links with residents’ families, local authorities, doctors and health services as needed.
• In emergencies, call the appropriate response team or authorities.
• Assist with sales via Retirement Homesearch; welcome new residents and help them settle in.
• Work with local Development Manager peers and travel to meetings monthly/annually.
