A veterinary practice in Gorleston-on-Sea is seeking a part-time Vet to provide 24-hour care for small animals. Candidates should have 2-3 years of post-graduation experience and be confident in small animal general surgery. Established in 1984, we are a small animal hospital in Gorleston providing 24-hour care. Our practice is easily accessible; we offer disabled access and on-site parking.
Our friendly and experienced veterinary team provide the highest quality of veterinary care, surgery and treatment – along with regular check-ups and routine procedures.
We have a laboratory on-site as well as full diagnostic equipment including ultrasound, endoscopy and digital x-ray.
Our clients also have access to radioactive iodine treatment at our sister practice – The Veterinary Surgery, Lowestoft.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Vet to join our team part time committed to approximately 23-24 hours per week (this can be discussed at interview).
We need an experienced veterinary surgeon with at least 2-3 years post-Graduation. The suitable candidate must beconfident in small animal general surgery.
1 in 3 weeks (5 x 9.5hr days + 2 x 11hr weekend days Sat/Sun)
Our practice is an RCVS registered hospital and surgery, split over two sites on the Norfolk/Suffolk coast. The area is within the Norfolk Broads and offers beautiful surroundings whilst maintaining a reasonable commute to London. We provide a Minightvet ECC Out of Hours service, providing 24 hour onsite care for our patients.
We are a large team across our 2 sites, with certificate holders and a reputation for supporting and funding CPD and further development. We host laprascopic training days for vets in neighbouring sites and have a fantastic array of equipment and facilities.
Development of our people is important and we'd be keen to support you with any areas of interest, anyone looking at or working towards a surgical or medicine certificate would complement the team very well but this is not essential.
Please also speak to us if you need to work more flexibly, we are open to understanding your personal circumstances and have veterinary surgeons working part-time, rotational shift patterns and are always open to considering how to support you as an individual.
