Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a part-time Receptionist at Walton Lodge Vets in Ware. You will be the first point of contact, delivering a welcoming and professional experience while supporting appointments, client communications, and teamwork across the practice.

The role covers 18 hours per week (Mon Tue Wed, 8am–7pm coverage). You’ll greet clients, handle check-ins/outs, process payments and keep reception areas tidy and organised.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Walton Lodge Vets on a part-time permanent basis.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

• 18 hour working week, Monday, Tuesday Wednesday. It will include 6hr shifts to cover opening hours 8am - 7pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanour
• Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar
• Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries
• Check-in and check-out clients, ensuring accurate record-keeping
• Collect payments and process invoices
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
• Assist with filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks as needed
