inspiring vet care is seeking a friendly Receptionist for Lockwood Vets on a part-time fixed-term basis covering 6 months. You will manage appointments, greet clients and pets, check-in patients, update records and handle payments in a welcoming environment.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Lockwood Vets on a part-time fixed-term basis covering 6 months.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time role working 30 hours over 5 days per week, even share of morning and late shifts. fair share of weekend rota.

Key Responsibilities

As an integral part of our practice team, you will be responsible for:

• Taking phone calls, answering queries and booking appointments
• Greeting clients and their pets on arrival
• Check-in patients and verify their information
• Update patient records and ensure attention to detail
• Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
• Dispensing medication
• Maintain the cleanliness of the reception area and consult rooms
• Administration duties such as emails and signing up clients to our Pet Health Plan
