Job summary

Vets for Pets in Abingdon, Didcot, and Oxford Botley is seeking a friendly reception-based role that supports three practices. You will work across locations with full-time hours and occasional weekend shifts, handling bookings, payments, and client queries while supporting the clinical team.

You will need strong IT and communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to work as part of a team or solo when required. Driving licence and transport are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Excellent IT skills and comfortable using a range of software systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Previous reception experience in a veterinary or healthcare setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to clients and ensure the best care for their pets, acting as a vital link between clients and the clinical team.
• Build relationships with clients, their pets, and the practice team to ensure trust and satisfaction.
• Deliver excellent client service during visits and manage payments and future bookings.
• Greet clients, provide guidance and expertise while handling payments and bookings.
• Coordinate day-to-day running using our online booking system; strong computer literacy is essential.
• Manage administrative duties including bookings, payments, recalls, care plans, insurance, chip registrations, cashing up, end-of-day checks, and overall operation.
