Job summary

Vets for Pets is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our newly opened, state-of-the-art practice in Uxbridge. You will be the friendly face for clients and their pets, liaising between clients and the clinical team to ensure smooth daily operations.

We value enthusiasm, empathy, and a professional, calm approach. The role requires delivering excellent client service, handling bookings, and maintaining knowledge of all offered services in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the veterinary industry or a customer care role is preferred.
• Friendly and welcoming face for clients and their pets upon arrival at the practice.
• Provide clear guidance and support by maintaining thorough knowledge of all practice services and additional offerings.
• Demonstrate a calm, attentive approach, consistently focusing on clients’ needs and providing reassurance when required.
• Bring enthusiasm, energy, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional client service and pet care.
• Handle a variety of situations with professionalism and empathy—from comforting clients during difficult moments to sharing in the joy of a pet’s first visit.
• Contribute to a warm, supportive, and team-oriented environment, helping to create a positive experience for clients and colleagues alike.

What your typical day will look like:

• Provide exceptional service to clients while ensuring the highest standard of care for their pets, acting as a vital link between clients and the clinical team.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 10am-7pm / Wednesday - one week on, one week off: 9am-7pm / Saturday - one week on, one week off: 9am-5pm with a salary in line with national minimum wage.
