We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at Animed Shedfield.

Location: Botley Road, Shedfield, Southampton SO32 2JG/237 Hunts Pond Road, Locks Heath, Fareham PO14 4PJ

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 13 hours per week(Including a weekend shift)

Shift Pattern:

A mixed location role:

Wednesday 8.30-1.30 at Shedfield 5 hours

Friday 8.30-5pm at Locks Heath 8 hours

About the role:

Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

• Answering phones and booking appointments
• Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
• Registering new clients
• Completing insurance forms
• Dispensing medications
• Taking payments
• And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

What we're looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist:

• Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
• Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
• An excellent communicator with strong empathy
• Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
• A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
