Job summary

Vets Now Derby is recruiting a Veterinary Nurse for a 12‑month fixed term weekend role. Shifts run Saturday 12:00–18:30 and Sunday 08:30–18:30, with a 1:4 weekend rota and bank holidays.

We offer up to £17ph DOE plus benefits and access to ECC qualifications, CPD and staff perks as part of joining the UK's leading emergency pet care provider. You will work with our nursing team across triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in‑patient care.

Qualifications

• RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
• Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
• Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
• Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• First Aid - give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care - management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
• Diagnostics - confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.
