Job summary

Linnaeus is seeking a Client Care Assistant at DWR Veterinary Specialists to join our friendly reception team. You will greet clients and their pets, coordinate with vets and nurses, and handle accounts and payments in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time role offers 40 hours weekly, with weekdays and 1 in 4 weekends. You will contribute to outstanding patient care, maintain records, and support a collaborative hospital team committed to empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and client-service skills.
• Comfort with handling payments and invoices.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients and their pets upon arrival in a warm and friendly manner.
• Communicating directly with vets and nurses regarding appointments, clients and patients.
• Explanation to clients of the status of their accounts, taking payments and issuing invoices.
• Checking accounts before discharge to ensure up-to-date and correct.
• Arrangement of routine and emergency appointments from referring vets.
• Fielding of phone and electronic enquiries from clients, referring vets and colleagues.
• Checking accounts daily to ensure pricing is up to date and ward costs are correct.
• Maintenance of patient clinical records using practice management software.
