Job summary

Village Vet Cambridge, part of Linnaeus, is seeking a Float Client Care Assistant to cover Milton, Longstanton, Cottenham, Royston and Whittlesford practices. This front-of-house role requires a friendly, proactive person with a passion for customer service; a driving licence is essential.

You will greet clients and their pets, manage appointments, handle calls, and support admin duties across branches. Flexible rota includes weekends and one bank holiday per year; 28 hours weekly at £12.74 per

Qualifications

• Experience dealing with customers in a customer facing role.
• Proactive, positive attitude.
• Adapt well to learning a new system if no previous experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Highly motivated to provide excellent service to clients and the practice.
• Works well within a team and be a positive member of the team.
• Ability to work at a fast working pace under pressure along with lone working and managing own workload when the branch runs at a slower pace.
• Professional approach to work.
• Excellent administration, organisational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent IT skills – Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and their pets as front of house.
• Manage appointment bookings in a professional and efficient manner.
• Answer and make calls to veterinary practices, insurance companies and clients with a high level of customer service.
• Support the business with a range of administrative duties.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail.
• Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining service standards.
• Follow up with clients for outstanding payments.
