Job summary

Vets for Pets Cambridge Beehive is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to provide a friendly front-desk service, manage appointments and payments, and handle client inquiries with empathy. You will support clients and their pets in a busy practice and ensure smooth daily operations across two locations.

Working full-time (40 hours) with weekends on a rota, you will need computer literacy, strong communication, and a welcoming personality to contribute to excellent client care and team

Qualifications

• Previous receptionist/administration experience is essential.
• Veterinary experience is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with strong empathy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database systems.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones and booking appointments.
• Responding to queries via phone, in person, email and online messaging.
• Registering new clients.
• Dispensing medications.
• Taking payments.
• Supporting the clinical team with referrals, insurance claims and paperwork.
• Providing a warm and welcoming experience to clients.
