Job summary

Linnaeus Eastcott Veterinary Hospital in Swindon is seeking an experienced Client Care Advisor to join the reception team and deliver excellent client service. The role includes handling appointments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting staff across the practice.

The successful candidate will be calm, professional and capable of clear communication, with basic knowledge of veterinary records and terminology. Part-time hours include weekday afternoons and one weekend day.

Job Title: Client Care Advisor

Location: Eastcott Veterinary Hospital

Job Type: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week

Shift pattern: 15:00-19:30 Monday to Friday plus 1:7 weekend day (8 hour shift)

Eastcott Veterinary Hospital and Referrals are recruiting for an experienced and professional client care advisor to join their friendly and supportive team.

The purpose of this position is to serve as a member of the reception team, providing an excellent service to our clients and visitors.

• Arranging appointments
• Keeping accurate records
• Various clerical duties related to animal patient care and treatment
• Facilitate accurate communications between clients, veterinary surgeons, our nursing staff and the practice manager

Our receptionists should create the image and the first impression of our business, remaining calm, courteous and professional at all times, regardless of a client or visitor’s behaviour. Our receptionists should make a positive impression and make clients feel confident in our service as a whole and helps to put them at ease if they are worried or apprehensive.

This position requires a practical knowledge of the practice’s organisation and services; the basic rules and regulations governing visitors; dispensing restrictions; basic animal patient treatment; recognition of an emergency; accuracy in transcribing information/messages and a practical knowledge of the standard procedures, veterinary records and terminology used in the practice. Processing insurance claims both for direct payment and on behalf of clients may be a key aspect of this role.
