Job summary

Eastcott Veterinary Hospital, part of Linnaeus Veterinary Limited, is hiring a Client Care Advisor. The role is a part-time position (22.5 hours per week) based at Eastcott Veterinary Hospital with responsibilities spanning client reception, appointment scheduling, record-keeping, and insurance claim processing.

The successful candidate will provide a professional first impression, support clients and visitors, and coordinate communications between clients and the veterinary team.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a client care advisor in a veterinary reception or similar role.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and communicate clearly with clients and staff.
  • Practical knowledge of veterinary practice administration and records.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange appointments for clients.

  • Perform clerical duties related to animal patient care and treatment.

Job Title: Client Care Advisor

Location: Eastcott Veterinary Hospital

Job Type: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week

Shift pattern: 15:00-19:30 Monday to Friday plus 1:7 weekend day (8 hour shift)

Eastcott Veterinary Hospital and Referrals are recruiting for an experienced and professional client care advisor to join their friendly and supportive team.

The purpose of this position is to serve as a member of the reception team, providing an excellent service to our clients and visitors.

  • Arranging appointments
  • Keeping accurate records
  • Various clerical duties related to animal patient care and treatment
  • Facilitate accurate communications between clients, veterinary surgeons, our nursing staff and the practice manager
  • Processing insurance claims both for direct payment and on behalf of clients may be a key aspect of this role.

Our receptionists should create the image and the first impression of our business, remaining calm, courteous and professional at all times, regardless of a client or visitor’s behaviour.

Our receptionists should make a positive impression and make clients feel confident in our service as a whole and helps to put them at ease if they are worried or apprehensive.

This position requires a practical knowledge of the practice’s organisation and services; the basic rules and regulations governing visitors; dispensing restrictions; basic animal patient treatment; recognition of an emergency; accuracy in transcribing information/messages and a practical knowledge of the standard procedures, veterinary records and terminology used in the practice.
