Job summary

Bishop Auckland Vets for Pets is offering a 6 month fixed term contract for a Veterinary Care Assistant/Receptionist. The role is 18 hours per week, mainly reception, with occasional nursing support and overtime.

We value a friendly, welcoming clinician who can learn practice services, assist non-clinical duties, and provide first-rate customer service to clients and their pets.

Salary is £12.71 per hour with benefits including staff discounts and holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Non-clinical duties to support smooth running of the practice.
• Experience as a VCA is desirable, or relevant qualifications and interest in developing the role.
• Minimum 18 hours per week, reception-focused with potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist colleagues with non-clinical tasks and patient care.
• Cover reception shifts on a rota basis and welcome clients and pets.
• Support nursing team during annual leave and holidays.
