Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking a Verification Assurance Officer to work at locations in the Home Counties. The role focuses on preventing fraud entering the welfare system by robust verification and interviewing claimants alongside Jobcentre colleagues.

This position requires onsite work at Jobcentre locations, frequent site travel, and collaboration with service centres to strengthen fraud controls and educate customers on responsibilities and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in fraud prevention and verification processes is desirable.
• Strong communication skills to educate and inform colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and follow-up evidence interviews and verification activities.
• Identify and tackle fraud on the frontline with Jobcentre colleagues.
• Provide feedback on fraud trends to risk and intelligence teams.
• Lead customer education sessions on responsibilities and compliance.
• Maintain accurate management information and MI reports.
