Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is recruiting a Verification Assurance Officer to join a new team in the Home Counties. The role focuses on frontline fraud prevention and working with Jobcentre colleagues to identify and tackle fraud, including face-to-face interviews with claimants at Jobcentre sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evidence interviews with claimants to verify documents for identification and welfare elements.
• Perform robust interviews when there is suspicion regarding verification documents.
• Lead discussions with customers and Jobcentre colleagues to explain responsibilities and consequences of non-compliance.
• Provide regular feedback on fraud trends at office meetings and feed into risk and intelligence teams.
