Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic for our busy Swansea independent garage. You will perform complex mechanical work, diagnostics, servicing, and MOT-related checks in a modern, non-corporate environment with weekend-free hours.

Enjoy a salary between £35,000 and £40,000, 33 days' annual leave, bank holidays, and a range of benefits including pension, share scheme, and staff parking. A Full UK manual licence and NVQ Level 2/3 are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• F-Gas certification is preferred (or interest in obtaining it).
• Full UK manual driving licence required; MOT Tester licence preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out complex mechanical repairs, engine work, brake overhauls and chassis maintenance.
• Use diagnostics to identify electrical and mechanical faults.
• Perform servicing and inspections across various makes and models.
• Conduct health checks and safety-critical repairs to ensure right-first-time results.
• Complete digital job cards and video health checks for updates.
