Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Wimbledon is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic for our independent workshop. You will work Monday to Friday, 09:00-18:00, with no weekends, focusing on quality workmanship in a relaxed, non-dealer environment.

You will handle heavy mechanical repairs such as clutches and timing belts, diagnose faults across various makes, perform servicing, and keep precise digital records. Requirements include NVQ Level 2/3 (or City & Guilds), own tools, and a full UK driving

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds with proven repair experience.
• Experience handling clutches, timing belts, and wet belt systems preferred.
• Strong diagnostic problem-solving skills and pride in workmanship.
• Must have own hand tools for daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Execute heavy mechanical repairs (clutches, cambelts, wet belt systems).
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical/electrical faults across makes/models.
• Carry out routine servicing and preventive maintenance to high standards.
• Maintain precise digital job records and work with service team.
