Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Stonehouse is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician/Car Mechanic to join our independent team. You will work in a modern, clean workshop with high-tech tooling and a strong focus on quality over speed.

The role offers stability, a permanent pattern of weekday shifts, and a salary of £35,000–£40,000. A full UK driving licence and your own hand tools are required, with time-served experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or Service Technician.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Own hand tools required.
• F-Gas cert preferred or interest in obtaining it.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, inspections, braking overhauls and repairs.
• Perform bumper-to-bumper maintenance and prepare retail vehicles for handover.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot faults.
• Maintain high-quality first-time fix standards across diverse vehicle makes.
• Collaborate with a skilled team to ensure workshop flow and safety.
