Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Maidenhead is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our independent workshop team. You will diagnose and repair a range of mechanical and electrical faults, carry out servicing, and prepare vehicles for MOTs in a modern 6-bay facility.

The role offers a basic salary of £36,000–£40,000, Monday–Friday hours 08:00–17:00 with no weekend work, company pension, free parking, and ongoing training opportunities in a supportive, non-corporate environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds) with proven workshop experience.
• F-Gas certification preferred.
• Full UK driving licence; MOT Tester licence preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical & electrical faults across a range of vehicles.
• Carry out servicing, preventative maintenance and system repairs.
• Perform vehicle safety inspections and MOT preparation.
• Maintain precise digital job records and collaborate with the team.
